Food delivery app usage intention questionnaire (UTAUT2)
- Topic
- Intention to use food delivery apps
- Constructs
- 7
- Items
- 22
- Suggested method
- PLS-SEM
Food delivery apps are a familiar topic, easy to find respondents for, and a good fit for UTAUT2 because users pay themselves and use the apps out of habit. This template drops facilitating conditions to keep the questionnaire shorter; you can add them back if your literature review needs them.
Research model
Reduced model from UTAUT2 (Venkatesh et al., 2012): six factors affect behavioral intention.
- Performance Expectancy → Behavioral Intention (positive)
- Effort Expectancy → Behavioral Intention (positive)
- Social Influence → Behavioral Intention (positive)
- Hedonic Motivation → Behavioral Intention (positive)
- Price Value → Behavioral Intention (positive)
- Habit → Behavioral Intention (positive)
Questionnaire items
Original English wording. Answered on a 5-point Likert scale (1 = Strongly disagree … 5 = Strongly agree) unless the scale page says otherwise; (R) marks a reverse-coded item.

Tips
- Explain in Chapter 2 why facilitating conditions are dropped, otherwise the committee will ask.
- The original PE4 is about work productivity; this template rewrites it for the eating context. The original HT3 is 'I must use', and a literal translation such as 'I have to use' can be read as being forced, so it was rephrased.
- Price value asks about delivery fees and menu prices; adjust the wording for clarity but keep the original meaning.
- Survey only people who have used the app at least once, because habit and enjoyment require real experience.
Work out the minimum sample size for this model; once the data are in, clean the responses and run the survey data analysis for your results chapter.
